"Current" Becky Analysis

Character Analysis

Create pages of character design drawings and analysis answering the questions below and the Who, What, Where, When, Why and How.

Who is the character?
Older sister in a remarried super family. After living with her villainous father for a few years post-divorce, he is arrested and she is relegated to a life with her recently remarried mother. She has a new little brother after 9 years of being the only child and sole focus of her parents, especially her father's, love. Sharing her only remaining parent's attention with her new little brother is unacceptable, and, often with Becky as the instigator, the two children have frequent and destructive fights much to the chagrin of their mother.

What are they thinking during this animation?
She's jealous. She feels slighted and overlooked; Edwin gets more attention and love than Becky does and it's not fair! She was here first!

Where are they?
In their suburban home, living room.

When is it taking place? What is happening before or after this shot?
Home from shopping trip during which Edwin was bought a new toy for around a half hour. Becky has had time to stew in indignation. Becky is lounging reading a book but also resentfully watching Edwin play with his new toy.

Why are they doing the action?
Envy. She doesn't want him to enjoy his new toy-- It's not fair that he got one and she didn't!

How they feel about themselves or the situation they are in?
    Justified. Jealous.
